Just a quick question - What do you do when eating gets boring? Meals get boring after a while. Thats when it is most dangerous for me. Any tips on how to overcome that situation?
Thanks in advance!:flowerforyou:

just keep changing things up. You can eat so many things. I always try to try a new food item every week. Today I am trying mustard greens. There are so many wonderful recipes out there too. Sometimes I get in a rut too and you are so right. It gets dangerous. Just change it up or maybe also switch your meals around. Have breakfast for dinner0

I like to experiment by changing up ingredents. Like recently i've discovered Texas Toast Tortilla strips. At just 35 cals a serving, i throw those in a soup or salad and it's like a whole new food!
Also Greek Strained yogurt has many uses. I use it to thicken a smoothie, mix with fresh fruit and Truvia or replace it for sour cream uses. Greek yogurt has 2x the protein of regular yogurt and just as many uses.
Also a fan of sirataki "Miracle Noodle". I don't know who sold their soul to make these but they are like zero everything! It takes the flavor of whatever you're cooking it with and is a wonderful replacement for lo mein or fried rice in Asian dishes.
Hope this helps!0 -
One of the things I did when changing my lifestyle, was to try new things. Each week at the grocery store I would buy a new fruit or veggie.
This has become even easier now because a lil Spanish Market has opened down the street. I walk there and buy fresh veggies......and a new one.
You could NEVER have told me I would eat greek yogurt, calabasa, or star fruit a year ago. I am not saying I love it all................but I made my own collard greens last week and they were da BOMB!!! :laugh:0 -

cant be much simplier....
I bought the bag of collards by Morning Glory
Large pot. put olive oil in the bottom, on about medium.
3 cloves garlic
1 small onion both chopped up
sautee in the oil.
I used a leftover ham bone......but you can buy smoked turkey leg, or chopped ham.
3 cups of water and let it boil for about 10 min or so
Add collards, 1tsp of apple cider vineger, 1 tsp sugar.......and some pepper flake if you like some spice.
I then added 2 cups of chicken broth.......put the lid on the top and left on med, low for about 20 min or until soft.
I am still eating them! Yummy0 -
