Looking for a HR monitor THAT DOESN'T SLIP!!

Good morning,

I have had a Polar FT4 for a few years now, and it has always been fine for walking/running. However, I have started taking spin classes, and the band keeps loosing contact with my skin when I lean over the bike. Any suggestions for a more stable HR monitor?

Thanks!

    Hi there!
I tuck mine under a tight fitting sports bra. Works well for all activities, including swimming. There are a few brands of sport bras out there, that will allow for sensors to be snapped into a built-in chest strap. Look for compatibility!

    Good luck!

The latest wrist only monitors are much better. Look at the Mio's.

Personally, I'm waiting for the AppleWatch to take advantage of all it's health metrics.
  • I love my Wahoo Blue HRM. I've never had a problem with slipping, although this might be more common with a female body. HRM data is captured on phone through the Wahoo app, which then synchs with MFP, Garmin Connect and almost any other third party software. I don't think it synchs with Polar Personal Trainer. The only downside vs. a Polar is it doesn't reverse control cardio equipment at the gym. The updated model is called TICR.

I just got the Garmin chest strap with the new design and it's been great!
