When to expect first results?

Hello friends! I know I am impatient but I want to ask. When to expect my first tiny results? I 've been dieting for 3 days only (lol), my scales show same kilos. I am supposed to lose 1 kilo per week, in 4 days my diet week is over but I don't think I will have lost that one kilo. So far I am doing fine with my calories intake plus 30 mins of walking every day and 3 hours of tennis per week. Any ideas?

Depending on what changes have been made to ones diet some see initial weight loss of water weight. Basically it's impossible to guage, I would suggest measuring yourself and taking photos. Some loss is seen in how your clothes fit, in photos or the scale. It takes time but it will happen.0

You could see a huge number from water weight, or you could see nothing. It's not uncommon for loss to take 3-4'weeks to show on the scale. Take measurements. Take stock of how your clothes fit. Think about how you're feeling, and be patient.0

It depends. Some people see results almost instantly. Others will see changes after 1-3 weeks. Don't get discouraged if you fall into the latter category. Weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint. You didn't gain your extra weight in a week, you won't get to your goal weight in a week.0

If you are truly in a calorie deficit you should start to see the scale drop in a week or so. Don't wait 3 or 4 weeks to make adjustments if needed.
You must make sure that you are accurate when logging, and if you are, you should start making progress fairly quickly. But also keep in mind that weight loss will not be linear. You may not see the scale drop some days and it may even go up some days. That is normal. What you should be seeing is a gradual trend in weight going down.
Like I said before it should not take more than a week or so, if you are doing everything right, to start to see results. Good luck.0 -
The thing about weight loss is, if you stress over it or try to force it, rarely works.
As long as you are being accurate and logging everything, even the drops of milk in ya tea/coffee, it all adds up, then once your body is ready to loose, it will loose.
weight loss is like the hare and the tortoise, for some it starts fast then slows up, for others it can take ages then comes off steadily, but you will get there.0 -
You might try adding some resistance training to your cardio. Feel free to add me if you'd like.0

As a woman, around your time of the month, you may not see any weight loss because of excess water retention. During TOM, hope the scale stays the same, then it will all go down afterwards. The scale has varied (per other comments on other forums) up to 10 lbs of water weight due to various reasons.
New workouts may affect this as well so depending on what you did prior to MFP, you may be seeing that initial workout change muscle water retention.
The accuracy of your food intake is also important to see the change in one week.
Bottom line: be more patient than 1 week or measure food meticulously.0
