Pilates beneficial?

I'm pregnant and have had to go from the jillian michaels dvds to a mix of biking and fitness DVDs. I have a Pilates DVD and was wondering if anyone finds that it really does help with strengthening/toning? It's not super challenging like I'm used to with Jillian Michaels, which is why I'll do 30 minutes of Pilates with biking.

I have a pilates video and I feel like it helps with flexibility and strength in my core/ab area. It's only 20 minutes so I use it as a warm up before lifting weights sometimes.0
