Question on cardio calorie burning input..

I mostly do my cardio on my octane fitness elliptical at night, one thing I have noticed is if say i want to put in my cardio or (exercise) in MFP. If i put "Elliptical" it's at a certain rate of burn.

Now if at my weight, and a certain resistance and speeds, this can vary quite a bit.
Should I just manually enter in if I think that would be more accurate?
