Pasta diet advice and help...

Okay, so I've heard of this pasta diet stuff, and what it entails, but I don't want to eat 5 meals a day as it suggests.

So, I've kinda edited it a little and need some advice.

Firstly, in the morning I make a 750ml fruit smoothie, I've got different recipes for every morning but in total it adds up to about 400 calories per 750ml.

I divide that in two, so I take a flask with me for lunch.

I've then decided to have some pasta in the evening as my dinner.

The trouble is, I don't know how much to have?

On the packet it says the calories for dry weight but not cooked. Surely it will reduce as the pasta is losing starch?

I'll probably only have sweet corn with my pasta...

So in total its:

Breakfast: 375ml fruit smoothie = 200 cal

Lunch: 375ml fruit smoothie = 200 cal

Dinner: Pasta and Corn *No calorie set yet, as need advice...*

Thanks in advance.

Oh no, the pasta will gain lots of weight when cooked- from the water. Weigh dry pasta.
  • Angel hair comes out to 1 1/4 cup and other shaped pasta is 1 cup for a serving ..Hope that helps you can also go onto the pasta site if you dont have a scale.
  • Awesome.

    Thanks guys for both answers.

    Quite helpful.
