Best Sources for Meal Planning + Shopping Lists?

Hi! I'm about due for a grocery store trip and though I don't really buy much garbage, I do end up making use of the "easy" things I get quicker than the things I have to prepare. I was wondering if any of you had good links or other sources for meal planning and shopping. I'm thinking a one-week meal plan for under 1,330 (give/take) daily w/ shopping lists? Thanks!

To be honest, I steal ideas from other people's diaries... :embarassed:

I use Allrecipies.com a lot. Say, I want to make sure I get enough protein (a troublesome one). I'll find main ingredients that I'm interested in and search for recipes for them; depending on what I have on hand, what's on sale at the store, what sounds good, how difficult it will be to make, etc. I'll decide on recipe, then enter it into MFP and check out the nutritional content; rinse and repeat for several meals.

Sorry I don't know of any ready made meal plans, but constructing your own can be fun!

you should check out supercook.com. it kind of works backwards as what you're describing, but if you list all the stuff you regularly have on hand, it will find recipes that can fit your pantry list. if there's something you're missing, it'll tell you in the thumbnail what you're missing.

even if you just highlight one item (say "ground beef"), it can still tell you "you've got everything you need to make this dish" or "you need X ingredients to make this dish."

Perhaps you've been doing some research as well, but this looks promising if you have an iphone or ipad:
