stuck

Is it normal to get stuck for a week or so. I have eaten under my intake everyday and workout 6 days a week. I lost 8 pounds the first 2 weeks but have not lost any more the last 2 weeks. Thanks for the help.

I lost HUGE my first month, but in the last 2 weeks barely one pound. Stalls are just about guaranteed after big losses. It-s a compensational thing, I guess. hang in there.

i've pretty much been 230 lbs for the last few months. but there is a change in my conditioning and my strength. you'll find other ways to measure your fitness.

Weight loss isn't always linear. What matters is the overall trends.

Completely normal. Most of that first loss would have been water weight. If you haven't yet, take your body measurements and track those, too. Often when your weight isn't dropping your measurements are. By tracking both you'll hopefully be seeing one or the other move to keep yourself motivated.

Fat cells, when depleting, will hold onto water. At a certain point that water will be released and you'll probably see a big loss all at once.

    This journey requires patience.
    Some weeks are down.
    Some are the same.
    Some are up a little.
Stay in the game for the long term.

Yes, that's bound to happen at first, in fact losing 8 pounds in 2 weeks is extraordinary, that would mean that you would have had to have consumed 28,000 less calories or 2000 calories per day less and or burn off that much thru exercise or a combination of both.

At any rate as you continue to lose it slows down. Nothing tricky about it, it's just in the math. I have learned to be ecstatic with a 1/2 and even a 1/4 lb. loss in a week because I am so close to goal.
