Tracking food

I have used MFP off and on in the past, but I find it very hard to accurately track my food, especially if I don't have an exact recipe to put in. Any tips to make it easier? I'd like to be able to count carbs more easily, and I think MFP might help. Thanks!

Cooking is the most difficult part. If you measure out everything you toss in, it's easier to log. It's a major pain in the butt if you cook like I do and just toss things together instead of measuring. Major, MAJOR pain in the butt.
You have to do it, though, if you want the closest possible estimate. No way around it.0
