I just had sriracha hot sauce for the first time in my life and, well, I want more. Have I just awakened a sleeping giant?

You have, and I pity you that you have not had it sooner.0

I knew it. It's legal crack, it is.0

Yup. Sorry. You're now a lost cause, along with the rest of us.0

Siracha *swoon* I use it on virtually everything! My favorite is making party wings with it, season them and brush some siracha on them and let them bake for about twenty minutes turn them and add more siracha and bake for another twenty and you have little pieces of heaven. *drool*0

It has one gram of sugar per 5 grams serving. I believe thats 24 grams of sugar per bottle.0

Sriracha and cheese toasties; you'll never enjoy a toastie without it again!0
-
I've got a turkey meatloaf recipe starring Sriracha. Yum.0

I have been known to use copious amounts of Sriracha on many things.....0
-
I put sriracha on everything because sriracha is the only thing I can taste after I ruined my tastebuds with sriracha.
It's a downward spiral, my friend.0 -

More like 96 servings per bottle.
And that's if you actually use a teaspoon, which no one does because Sriracha is amazing. If you don't have any issues with sugar (like diabetes), there's no reason to worry about sugar militantly. 5g of sugar in your pho or on your sandwich through a bunch of Sriracha isn't going to derail you.0 -
my son LOVES it. when he lived out of town, i used to mail it to him because it wasn't available where he lived! i usually buy 5 or 6 bottles at a time!0

I think you forgot a 0 after those numbers...:flowerforyou:0 -
Potentially - hot stuff is good for metabolism, but watch the salt. Unless your an ultra cardio fanatic, excess salt can cause you to bloat.0

I'm totally addicted to hot, red stuff. Tabasco, korean chilli flakes, sriracha. I love that slightly burning sensation. Gives me endorphins;)0
-
Frank's Red Hot or Cholula. Everything else is garbage. :noway:0

hidden sugar is a big deal for me so yea its a deal deal breaker.0

Love it with broccoli! And rice and chicken!0

Good News: Dr Oz says that it "boosts our metabolism" so there you go, one more reason LOL0

I agree!!! I put it almost everything!0 -
Yes! I first had "simply sprouted sriracha multi grain chips" a few weeks ago and they are aww-mazing!!!!0
-
Mmm, yes we love it too. I try not to use it on everything, because all of our friends and family don't like spicy or hot food. But if the bottle is near empty, we run to the store quickly, just to make sure we have it at hand. So yeah maybe we're a little bit addictive.0
-
YES, YES YES YES!
And did you know that Texas Pete has a new sauce called Sriracha-cha?
Oh man it's so good too.
The Tuong Ot brand goes great with Hoisin sauce, but beware Hoisin is loaded with sodium so only use a little.
Thanks for the tip! I will look for those.0 -
I have to be a semi buzzkill here with a warning: If you find yourself suddenly having intestinal issues, particularly of the stinky variety, the Sriracha is gonna be to blame. My husband was dumping Sriracha on everything... next thing I know we're buying baby wipes, Preparation H and Gas-X in bulk.... so he tried simply cutting back on it, but that didn't help. We had to switch to milder Mexican sauces like Cholula.
Most people can eat Sriracha no problem, but if you do find bad things suddenly happening in the.... lower regions.... knock off the Sriracha rather than running to the doctor, is all I'm sayin'.0 -
Chilli in itself is confirmed to be addictive, but i have to agree, after being sent some from mexico by a friend i met online many many years ago, I was hooked on chilli ever since.
I tend not to have chilli now unless it in powder form here in the uk because almost every chilli sauce here is loaded with sugar, where as the one i got sent from mexico was sugar free.
I so need a mexican friend lol....
Or if anyone knows of a chilli sauce over here in england that is sugar free please message me, smiles.0 -
I just made these (with double the sriracha):

They are delicious, simple, and you should go make them. They could probably handle a little more sriracha though.0 -
I'm more addicted to Cholula, but I love to marinate pork in a mixture of low sodium teriyaki sauce, low sodium soy sauce, Sriracha, rice wine vinegar, ginger, garlic cloves & a roughly chopped onion for about 8 hours, then bake it off. YUM.0

Sriracha in a bloody mary. Very good.0
