stupid numbers!

Tell me i'm not crazy! So right now I stand 5'5" and wear a size 12..... 190 pounds! My goal is a size 8, I have curves and I accept and love having them. A size 8 would make shopping easier and well in all that would be 6 pants sizes lost! My point is, according to all the stupid weight charts I am told I still need to lose 40-50 pounds. I find this very hard to believe! I have set myself a window between 160 and 170 which I feel will be enough for me. Why I weigh so heavily I just don't know! I build muscle quickly and maintain it well, so I suppose this could be contributing to the "heavy". I just want to be less chubby...that's all! I want the energy and the immunities...this is why i eat and move the way I do. Someone tell me I am not the crazy one.

Ok, you're not the crazy one.
Do what feels best to you and what you want.
this is about you and no one else.0 -
I am 5'4" and currently wear a size 12 and am 171 pounds . . . so if you are crazy guess I am as well.
My goal is 140 pounds (lived at this weight for a long time so know it is realistic). The last time I was 140 pounds I was a size 8 . . . but since we are all individual and our bodies change as we age . . . that may be different this time around when I get there.
Each of us is completely special so you will figure out your sizes as you get there . . . .0 -
you arent crazy. some people are just built for muscle (like you said) and are just GOING to be heavier than the average person but not look like it because its MUSCLE and not fat. do what feels right to you. as long as you feel good and are healthy, thats all that matters.0

I definitely think it's an individual thing. I'm 5'6" and when I was 190, I was like a size 16 and I'm about 160 now and I'm really comfy in 12s but can wear some 10s. I like my clothes to fit loose though. My goal is also a comfortable 8-- which was a very long time ago for me. Anyway, I'm recalling that I was like 140 when I was a size 8- maybe 145. I think it just depends on your body type.
Best to you!0 -
A friend weighs 20 pounds more than me and wears the same size as I do. She is very fit and muscled. I'm not. There you go. Do what is right for you.0

Numbers don't mean squat!!! I am 5' tall and wear size 8-6. My BMI right now is overweight and at the high point of my BMI, I am a size 4-6. I could weight as less as 97 pounds and still have a healthy BMI. Probably I could wear size 0 or 00 at 97 pounds!!!!0
