Hoping to break even this week...

This has been a stressful week. My niece has been in the hospital since Wednesday because she has gone into labor at 30 weeks. We already knew the baby has a condition that will require surgery as soon as he is born but the plan was to induce her at 36 weeks. The doctors are trying to stop the progress to keep baby Karter in as long as possible; however, since yesterday it appears that he will be arriving in the next day or so.

She and her 2yr old have been staying with my daughter, son-in-law, and their 3 girls for the last few months. My daughter is her support person, accompanying her to doctor appointments, being with her for the delivery, and riding with Karter in the NICU Ambulance to Children's Hospital as soon as he is born. In addition to working a full time job my younger daughter and I are helping with my 3 granddaughters and my great-nephew, leaving little time to fit in a good workout. If I am needed right after I get off work my meal plan for dinner goes out the window as well.

At this point I am just trying to do the best I can to at least stay somewhat on track with my food and squeeze in a walk/run when I can. If I lose anything this week GREAT!!! If I can at least maintain I will be happy with that.

This morning I am going to try to get a quick walk/run in between rain showers. My mantra right now is "This too shall pass".

Thanks for letting me vent...
