Eating all natural - fast food break?

I LOVE fast food, despite it's harmful qualities. I recently began eating all natural. No preservatives, no processed foods, all ingredients are readable... that sort of thing. It's been good too. I feel good about what I'm eating. I eat within my calorie range and I'm able to eat a lot.

But I have cravings. That new Taco Bell Frito burrito? I want it. Bad. And it's within my calorie range but I can't seem to justify it to myself. I know it's full of chemicals and man-made junk and it's horrible for me but I can't help it!

Part of me says, well, it's within my calorie range but another part keeps telling me about how fatty and unnatural it is.

Which should I listen to? Isn't it okay to eat a burrito every now and then?

Do you have a planned cheat day coming up? You could have it then. You might find that it doesn't taste as good as you think since you've been eating all natural, but if it's a cheat day, then it's good to eat it and get it out of your system. :)

A cheat day? No, I don't. Do you eat within your cals on your cheat day?

Try it out I bet it makes you sick. Not long ago I kind of thought the same thing about McD's and I was so sick!
Not that I want you to be sick it's just amazing the power of advertising. It seems every night around 9-11 it's all fast food commercials.
Makes the cravings horrible. Good luck and let us know if you eat one. :)

this is what you do... keep it all natural...

find whats in the Frito burrito and make it from scratch...

that way, you control what goes in it and no reason to feel guilty

Either do what he said, or get from Taco Bell. I bet you take 4 bites of the Taco Bell one and drop it in the trash. It's going to make your stomach hurt. I would bet you've lost your tolerance for fast food. I know that I have.

She's actually quite right. I never liked fast food and so if I ever eat it (which is rarely) I feel uneasy and sometimes end up feeling sick.
  • Well, I decided to get it. I've been doing really well and it's not like I'm going over my calories for the day. (I'm actually a little under!) If I get sick, then good! Hopefully I won't want it anymore.

My philosophy with fast food or just processed stuff in general is that every now and then, it's fine. But, what I've been doing lately... my boyfriend eats Taco Bell almost everyday & it makes me want it BADLY... so I just ask him for the last bite. I get my craving fulfilled but I don't have all the calories & junk going in my body and I leave enough calories at the end of the day to where it doesn't hurt my deficit. Plus, most of the time he says he's "too hungry" to give me the last bite -- then it's just shame on me!
