enough food?

I am pretty sure I'm not eating enough calories.

Breakfast: 2 boiled egg whites, 1 cup plain oatmeal (no sugar..nothing)

Snack: cheesestick

Lunch: Tuna sandwich on 2 slices wheat bread (with a tbsp mayo) & few sticks of celery

Dinner: half a grilled chicken breast & cup of green beans

What can I add? It's difficult for me to eat during the day because I do not have any free time during my work day, however, I will make time if need be. I just don't know what else I can add to this.

Breakfast - why not eat the whole egg, not just the whites?

Lunch - add some lettuce/tomato to your sandwich if you're not already. They're calorie light but easy to add and will help fill you up more.

Dinner - eat the whole chicken breast! Protein is good!

Other snack ideas that are good for you but calorie rich are peanut butter, nuts (almonds), avocados... etc.

If you're ok with it, make your food diary public, and we can all msg you with suggestions every day.

I'm not too much for advice today, I had to go to a fast food place to get a dinner because I wasn't hungry at all! :( Got my calories but also got a tummy ache (I wasn't about to finish the day with 600 calories)
  • I dont use the food diary on here. Not yet anyway. I like to posts on the message boards here and there. That menu I posted is what I eat everyday. Once in a while I'll switch out the tuna sandwich for chicken sandwich, and change my chicken breasts for dinner to pork loin or something like that. Throw a salad in randomly, but for the most part, what I posted is what I am eating.

    mariapuhl had awesome suggestions!

Also on breakfast, you could ad a little honey and fruit to your oatmeal? I like honey and blueberries on mine.

Maybe add some peanut butter with your celery. I love that combo.

You could also throw in another snack if you can. I like Lara Bars or Soy Joys. They satisfy my craving, have some hearty calories and fiber, which fills me up.
  • I like those ideas! thanks!
