I have a FitBit One - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it.

You can add friends and compete, I never knew how competitive I was

I prefer the One over the wrist options, for two reasons, 1) I have it on always, it is clipped to my bra and 2) the wrist option does not fit my style

Being that it can sync to your phone you can check it anytime, and see what your steps look like, It also connects to MFP so when I log a workout it reflects on both apps but syncs correctly so you don't have to do any math! I don't use the calorie count because I still log on MFP and it syncs my steps and workouts.

The good thing about it is that when you see what you normally do, it is really easy to increase your steps just in your daily moving around . . . then once you do that the real fun can begin. My daily goal is 13K steps per day but usually during the week I average 18K.

I'd also recommend the FitBit One.
  • I really am liking my fitbit flex (the wrist one). I love having one and it gives you more motivation cause you can set your goal for the day and lets you know when you hit it. You also can compete with friends (with any fitbit) on your steps which I know sometimes gives me more motivation, especially when taunted, lol. With the fitbit app for smartphones you can cheer or taunt friends and can also send them messages. I also have several different colors for my band so I can switch them to match whatever I am wearing (if your a little more dressy they will not match as well. I wear scrubs at work and jean & t-shirts outside of work so they pretty much match whatever I wear but it's about personal preference. I have a friend that loves having her fitbit one (clip on). It's just about what you may like better.
