Hi all,
Should i solely look into cross train style shoes to be used for the p90x program or can i also consider walking or running shoes as well?

Yes,
Get a pair of cross training shoes for P90X. I would not recommend using running/walking shoes for these types of programs. There are a lot of lateral movements involved in P90X (Plyometrics & Cardio portion) and you can easily hurt your ankle or foot if you don't have the correct support on your feet.
Hope this helps!0 -
Sure does help.

Cross trainers or athletic shoes. Tony Horton specifically says no running shoes0

I don't run in Vibram Five Fingers, but they work great for P90X0
