I have a question about hips ????

So I have fat on my hips and lower back that is really starting to annoy me, and I just can't get rid of it! I am running all the time in the gym, I lift weights I do ab work and I have a good diet and try to avoid sugary or fatty foods where I can but I just can't get rid of it! I really need some help and ideas to get rid of it! Please help! I know this is probably not what this forum is for but if anyone can help it would mean loads to me!!!!!

Sorry, but there really is no way to target fat on specific body parts. Where you gain and lose fat is largely genetic. Just keep losing weight and it will probably reduce some.

Yes it is genetic. My daughter is in the "normal" weight range but still has big hips. Exercise does help tone and give it a better look though.

That's the fat I want to lose as well. My legs and my arms are lean (well, apart from some loose skin), stomach is pretty much 95% loose skin at this point, all my fat is on my hips and lower back. Frustrating as hell, but it's genetics...

While you can't target lose weight, you /can/ tone target areas. If you tone your hip area, it'll probably look a bit better to you. Try things like stair climbers or yoga to tone that area a little.

Yep, genetics. My hips (and thighs) are always the last place I lose from. But I do lose eventually. Unfortunately they're also the first place I gain while pregnant, which is why I'm losing again!
