Okay.
A coworker of mine quit and we've been scrambling to fill in her hours... which gives me really odd shifts.

I usually work 1p to close (can be 8 or 9ish) without a scheduled break.
I try to eat a huge firstmeal before work... but i am STARVING by the end of my shift...and end up eating whatever is in sight.
...and then wake up at midnight with my body expecting a third meal.

How can you eat right when your job hours suck?

I'm not an expert on this subject by any means, but my first thought was bring a snack to work that you could eat on the move during down time or something. Maybe just a granola bar, but it'd probably keep you going so you're not starving by the end.

Not sure if this is actually a possibility, but I hope you can find something that works!

I find that planning everything the night before or in the morning helps me. I work 830am-6pm and usually have court somewhere in there a couple of days/ week and I have a 20 minute drive each way at a minimum. So I leave the house at 8 and get home between 630 and 9pm during the week- so I hear ya! I usually pack quick things like string cheese or an apple that you can chow down quick while working just to take the edge off. Also- dont eat a HUGE meal before you go in because your body is going to be looking for more then- I am always starving on Monday morning after I eat like a pig on Sunday lol. Eat a meal filled with protein and Fiber before work- that should keep you full longer.
To avoid coming home and chowing the house down (I used to do this 3 times a week lol) have something ready for when you get there- a can of soup sitting by a bowl on the counter. This way your not grabbing the first thing in sight which usually is the worst for you. Good luck!

Maybe it was just me but sometimes when I'd get off work without eating dinner I'd drink a glass of orange juice before I ate anything because it was a quick sugar boost and I actually lost weight because I ended up eating less.
