I have always had a great complexion...UNTIL NOW! I have lost 80lbs in the last year and feel great about myself, except for the fact that my skin has gone downhill bigtime since loosing weight. I just don't understand? My face looks older too, which I get because I no longer have the fat pockets in my cheeks to fill out lines. I have been breaking out like a pubescent teen. I guess I figured a better diet, not so many greasy foods, an increase in my water intake...would equal better skin, not worse?

I'm dealing with the same thing. It's not on my face, but on my shoulders and upper back. :/ So frustrating! Are you allergic to anything?? Have you ever been tested for food allergies? I know my problem turned out to be two more allergies I didn't know about on top of the ones I already was dealing with. It's worth investigating at least. :/

Maybe the sweat from working out? I have found I will break out if I don't shower right after working out. I hope it gets better!!

Yeah, you're on to something there. I was just about to suggest that the OP try some fish oil or flaxseed oil supplements. May not be getting enough omega fatty acids. If I don't, the skin around my fingernails splits and peels. Not fun.

Do you drink lots (and I mean LOTS) of water? Also, I regularly take steam & sauna at the gym- this really helps clean out my pores and my complexion looks better than ever. Also, I eat "clean". As soon as I don't, or vaguely start eating crappy, my skin shows it.

I don't know what kind of diet you're doing, but when you lose a significant amount of weight, it can often send your hormones into a tizzy. I always call it diet puberty, because I know I sure break out and my cycles are all nuts for a while, just like when I was 13!

Hormones are stored in fatty tissue, and when you lose weight the fat breaks down and releases those hormones back into your system. Much worse for women than men. Just another wonder of the female body.:ohwell: I have found that the Aveeno complexion problem face scrub cleans my skin but doesn't dry it out as much as other cleansers. Get a good moisturizer that has retinol in it to help tighten up the skin (according to my dermatologist).

I'm guessing that my issue is hormonal like you said. I was using the Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Face wash and it was not helping so I switched to Nutregena oil free acne wash and I have only used it for a couple of days...Things are slightly better-but I have VERY sensitive skin and it is irritating my skin a bit. The bottle says that some irritation is normal-but should be temporary. I'll give it a week or two. Thats why I was using Aveeno to start with...it was the only thing my skin could handle. I've been told that Cetaphil is gentle...maybe I'll put that on the "try" list.

I have sensitive skin too, and a light case of rosacea. I tried most every Neutrogena product as it came on the market (as suggested by the dermatologist), and 99% of them irritated my face. The one that did work they discontinued about 3 years ago. :ohwell: I use the Aveeno face scrub and the Aveeno calming moisturizer. Every 3 days or so I will use a ROC product with retinol (one of the eye creams) on my face that is less harsh than the regular creams. I then put a Cetaphil cream over that for overnight. When I do this my skin is a little irritated, but it is tight and it seems to have halted the progression of the crows feet, laugh lines and turkey waddle.
