Hi I'm new to this working thing and eating healthy so I'd like some different ideas and thoughts. I am currently trying to stay around 1200 calories a day, I am a stay at home mom and have a pretty sedentary lifestyle. I am working out with either 30 Day shred, Zumba, or on the Elliptical every day to reach at lease 500 calories burned per day and at least 3500 per week. I just recently bought the biggest loser for the wii so I will be adding that into the mix as well. Just curious to see what you all are doing and thoughts or opinions on my routine. Thanks in advance!!!!!

Welcome! I peeked at your food diary, and I have a few suggestions. First, I recommend you change your log to track sodium. You're eating a lot of processed foods, and those can be very high in sodium. Sodium can make you retain water and hamper weight loss.

Second, how are you figuring your exercise calories? I ask because you aren't eating those back. The site already has a calorie deficit built into your 1200 cals a day goal. When you exercise and burn more, you need to eat more to keep your body fueled. This should be healthy food, of course! It's not an excuse to binge on junk. :noway: If your exercise cals are accurate, you're in a pretty big deficit every day so far. If you have a heart rate monitor, great, they're very accurate. If you're using the site estimates given here, they tend to over-estimate cals burned for many people. Just a thought.

There are many excellent posts already here about eating yorur exercise cals. Go to the "sticky" notes at the top of the forum (marked by a red push pin icon) and read those. They will help you a lot with your diet and exercise. You're doing great so far! Eat those cals, girl! :drinker: Good luck!
