I'm a bit scared posting this, BUT maybe if it's officially posted here I can't back out!!!

I am planning to try to raise 1,000€ (because I live in France) for a school in Zambia that a friend supports. I am going to be asking people to sponsor me a certain amount - only to give it to me IF I cycle 1,000 km in 6 months. That sounds really scary, but my cycling husband assures me that it can be done without too much effort - though of course there needs to be some effort to encourage people to sponsor me.

So that I can "prove" I've done it, I'm going to take photos of my bike computer, showing the accumulated kilometrage. So I'm going to start at the end of February, when the weather might be better and I can get out on the bike Until then, in order to get my bum used to the bike, I'm going to be using the trainer indoors. At least, that's the plan...but I can't get enthusiastic!

But now I've posted about it, I'm going to have to do it, right?! :-)

I'm not in a position to support you financially but wanted to wish you luck with your goal! In September, I rode my bike 350 miles in 8 days...so 621 miles will be no problem at all in a 6 month span. Way to challenge yourself!
