Weigh-In Times

So I've been wondering is there a specific time when one should weigh themselves? Is it better to weigh yourself in the morning or the evening? Or does it even matter as long as you are consistent? I've been weighing myself right when I wake up, but I'm not sure if that is realistic since I haven't eaten anything at that point.

I think for comparison's sake from weigh-in to weigh-in it is better in the morning when you are empty. Otherwise it will vary as to what you have eaten that day, and how long before the weigh in. I think you will get a more consistent reading in the mornings.

I do it wednesday mornings first thing in the morning. I do weigh myself other times however the ones i count are then. your body may change by a few pounds over the whole day so as you guessed same day/time is likely most accurate for gains or losses

I heard the best time is in the morning before you eat but after you've gone to the bathroom. That's what I do. It seems the most consistent.

In the morning after your visit to the bathroom.
  • Hi! I would have to agree that a morning weigh in is best but I think as long as you stick to the same time frame for each weigh in , it will all shake out okay.

For me, I like to weigh on Friday morning because I do GREAT all week. If I have a slip, it's usually on the weekend so if that happens I have all week before I have to weigh again and I can usually make up for it.

I think as long as its the same day and time each week, it really doesn't matter.

Morning before eating and after using the potty.
