I've decided to start going back to body pump...I love cardio, hate lifting weights, but I saw my arms jiggling last night at Zumba and made my mind up! Do you think going twice a week will do anything for toning? (I am not a do it myself kind of person, unless I'm running, so body pump class is a must!)

Any increase will help you get resluts it is all about how fast you want to see those results. I did the body pump class and did see results in a couple weeks in my arms with two classes a week.

I would suggest you take it easy the first couple times to get your muscles comfortable with the movements and then increase the weights to tighten and tone!

    Hope that helps,

I think twice a week should be about right. Be sure and focus on your triceps...source of all arm jiggle!

The group fitness instructor at my gym says you shouldn't do bp more than twice a week. She recommends doing a heavy weight training in fitness center one day to supplement two days of BP. I love BP!!!! It definitely works arms - triceps are halfway through class and shoulders are at the end though so if you want to focus on your arms you might want to not go too heavy on weights at beginning of class and tire yourself out.

The good thing about arms is its easy to do a lot of exercises at home with minimal equipment such as light dumb bells or a resistance band. I envy women with shapely arms and hope to get mine there!
