Cute! Just a minor grammar suggestion... I hate to be picky, but it's important when you're getting a tattoo! It should read:

"A mother's greatest gift is her children."

(note the apostrophe... also note that "is" is right, not "are", because the verb goes with the word "gift" and not "children")

I would give your idea to the artist and let them draw you up an original so it looks a tiny bit less clip art. Super cute idea, though.

i LOVE it! I always thought about wanting to get a tattoo once we have children, and I always saw a lot of people with the footprints, which are cute, but not unique. This is very unique!

That is what I was thinking... my best friends wife got a tatto with each kids name on her lower back, basically right over each *kitten* cheek.... I don't know seems.... distracting :smokin:

I think it may have to be kinda big to make sure the numbers in the tags and the names don't come out blurry/squishy.

    just something to think about...

eta: and i have a shoulder tattoo w/ wording - so not that big is necessarily a bad thing

That was my thoughts. For the wording to come out clear and stay clear you will need to get the tattoo the same size you posted it on here which is fairly large. Otherwise the numbers are going to get all garbled. They might come out clear at first but ink doesn't move a little with age and they'll end up all "smooshed". Take it into the tattoo artist as something for them to work off of and let them put their own "spin" on it. It'll come out great I'm sure!

Awesome... when I saw the picture I envisioned it going across the upper back (stretch from shoulder to shoulder).

Jeez, now I've really got the itch for a new tattoo  Still debating what to get next and where to put it

Ive just recently got my first tattoo says Believe across my wrist, believe I can do what I set out to do, believe in myself etc I read it when Im struggling with the diet or even when Im exercising and its getting tough I love mine but be sure that it is what you want - even though mine was planned I completely flipped out for 2 days after. as for the design I love it, personal, unique, the only thing I would reiterate is the bit about the small writing - I have a heart above the i in believe and my tattoo artist did say that as I get older and my skin elasticity changes it will distort/shrink luckily it will only turn into a dot so Im ok if it does change - I d say if you want it go for it, but find a tattooist that you trust and if he suggests something LISTEN to him/her - if you do get it done dont forget to come back and let us see the finished product x

It looks great! If this is your first, make sure you find a good shop and ask at the shop for the person best for this type of tattoo. There was one girl at the place that I had mine done who worked mostly with the first-timers. She was great!! Good luck! Once you get one, you will be hooked though!
