when many people try to start to lose weight the focus is too much on a number. lets not forget the real reason we all started this journey... to be healthier.

when did you first start to get serious about loosing weight and being healthier? and what keeps you motivated?

for me it was when i couldnt put pants on standing up and i had to sit down. that was in may 2009 and i was at 210 now i am at 165!

    For me it was when my first tear dropped because of my weight. I realized something was really wrong.

    I came back from vacation in Mexico and "hated" every picture of me that was taken. I couldn't believe that person was me. That was April 2010, I was almost 220 pounds (214 when I started here) and now I am 161 pounds.

    My kids and my new found feeling of health (& sexiness) have kept me motivated. I love having the energy to play with my kids and to wear great new clothes. I must admit, I also loved the double take my doctor did on Tuesday at my appointment. He couldn't believe it was me! :happy:
