My son and I don't have plans. (Single mom here.) It's Memorial Day and I don't want to join friends for a picnic, soooo a little mini-hike! I'm waiting for my 3 year old to get his shoes on so we can play at the park. I'm sure the pool will be open tomorrow
and the kids will be all over the place (a reason why I wouldn't want to go).
But a little mini-hike, or a hike on easier terrain sounds good! I'lll have to research some places tonight. The problem is he grew out of his tennis shoes and his strap-on sandals are what fit at the moment. We are so broke (lost job) that I can't even afford an $8 pair at Wal-Mart, eee!
Anywho, a day at higher elevation certainly gets your heart rate pumping and since I live in the flatirons, I don't have to worry about gas prices.
I HATE GYMS AND EXERCISING.
Before my muffin top mom belly I liked running all right but not anymore. I do have a nifty pair of Eccos. I have epilepsy which totally kills balance re: running and have neuro damage in one leg so I reallly don't run. I can still do bouldering and rock climbing though. That kind of sport is the only fun thing I can think of that is still good exercise.
Well, hiking is free! And it's close by and Judah loves mountains.
He always thinks we're gonna see a cheetah or something. Hehehe. Kids.
