I found MFP through another user on another forum...haha, sounds suspicious huh? Anyway, I think I'm finally serious about losing weight and getting in shape. I'm done having babies (have 3 boys, and finally, 1 girl!) so now I can do all the work, and not sabotage it with pregnancy eating (which I did before) and not excercising. I absolutely love being outdoors-except for the fact that I live in South Dakota. I did do some walking at the end of the summer/beginning of fall, but now I am relying on the treadmill to keep me occupied.

My husband and I bought P90-X this past summer, and lasted about a week on it-sooo sore! I didn't want to continue at the pace we were going with it (continually modifying it, because I couldn't keep up) and feel like I failed, so I just figured I'd go back to the old fashioned walking/eating right first, and lose some weight, and then try again.

Well, I've written a book, as usual :) Just wanted to say "Hi" I know I've seen some really neat posts that have helped me so far-love recipe/lunch ideas!

  • I'm from Vermillion originally but spent the last 10 years in Colorado. Now I've somehow ended up in Indianapolis. Can't say I miss those South Dakota winters, but I sure to miss the Colorado ones! I don't know what to do with myself since I can't go snowshoeing here.

I'm seriously debating PX90 but I think I'm with you and will stick with more traditional routes to weight loss. It just sounds SO hard!

    Welcome!

Thank you ladies, for the welcome! I absolutely Love Deadwood-the whole historical thing just has me smiling the whole time we are there :)

Ali, Welcome to you too :) I grew up in the Mojave Desert of California (little town called Needles) right on the Colorado RIver. I soo miss it there, and I've been here for about 19 years, lol! The other place I enjoy in SD is the Yankton/Vermillion area-camping, fishing etc. I'm just stuck in the middle of corn and soybean fields-so boring!
