Hi Everyone!!
Ok, I'm new here and would love any help or suggestions that you can give me on my weight loss journey. I was always very thin and could mostly eat what I wanted until I got pregnant at 20 with my first child. After gaining 65lbs during pregnancy, I developed some pretty bad eating habits and 10 years and another child later I am definitely unhappy with my weight. I have tried so many things and really want this to be it for me. I love the success stories on here!!!

You can do this! As a mom of three boys and a lot of pregnancy/bad habit weight, I know it just takes the will. Eat often but small and work out as often as you can with out making yourself crazy:tongue:
Someone once said that you should eat like a queen at breakfast, like a princess at lunch, and like at pauper at dinner. This theory has helped to change my thinking.
Good luck, I am here if you want to chat.
  • Good Luck to you!!! I am new to the site too. I love it. It has helped me stay true to my calories. So far so good, 4lbs since Sunday....going strong and steady. I am 39 and just had a baby in November, I just want to be a fun active Mom for her! I have found eating small amounts alot and not to deprive myself, just change how I make things or what I put for condiments, it will be a long road, but I want to look fabulous for my 40th in June!! Find a friend to be accountable to, that has been huge for me too.
  • This story sounds really familiar. I also just joined this site in an attempt not only to drop some pounds and inches, but to improve my eating habits. I want to set a healthy example for my children.
Feel free to friend me and maybe we can support each other.
  • Disneymom, I like that way of thinking as far as eating goes! Breakfast has always been a hard meal for me to squeeze in with getting 2 kids ready for school in the morning. When I did eat it was usually something quick and fattening :ohwell: Its hard trying to figure out what I can eat on the go!
Kristi congratulations on your new baby!! You are so right about condiments. I had no idea how much sugar and carbs things like ketchup and honey mustard had!! This site has made me open my eyes more to things I never really looked at on my nutritional labels. I've always been concerned with fat and calories and ignored sugars and carbs. Probaby why I'm in the shape I am right now!!
