Question about calorie allotment

Are the calories pre-set in my food diary in accordance with my weight loss goal... or are they BMR calories - the calories I'd burn if all I did all day was lay in bed?

I am allotted 1200 calories, does that sound right? It seems low to me.

    They should be for your weight loss goal. How many pounds are you trying to lose per week? I am working on 1 lb per week and I am at 1370 per day. I think 1200 is too low for me and I want to lose slow so it stays off (lifestyle change)

    I think it depends on your goals

    I think I did select 1 pound per week...but it still seems a bit low to me. I guess it's because it's a lot lower than I'm used to :(

    i think they are set to your goals....doesnt work for me...my goal has been set at 1200 for 2lbs a week and i have only lost 4 lbs since thanksgiving!!! This week I changed my goals to allow more calories so hopefully that will help me :) you should change your goals to 1 or 1.5lbs a week!!

    Good idea. And as Doramouse said above... it's a lifestyle change. So I need to set a goal realistic for me... or else I'll get too frustrated!
