Enjoy your families and friends, see a parade, eat some BBQ, go swimming, ride bikes...whatever it is you want to do on this day...BUT, if you have a minute, please take the time to remember those who are serving and those who have served. Without them, we wouldn't have the freedom to enjoy life the way we do.

Take care everyone! Be good to yourselves and those around you! :)

God Bless!

    Happy Memorial Day!!!

Totally agree Tami....its all about our brave men and women who serve our country to keep us safe...bless you all and those who have in the past!!! I'm going to visit my dad and uncles who all served our country in either Korean War or Vietnam War today and bring little flag baskets to the cemetery...I love spring and summer holidays because it makes it sooo pretty and serene there!

To all those serving now, bless you and keep you safe!!!

After that we're doing a bbq and hanging in the backyard...its suppose to be hot hot hot here in Mass today woo hoo!....maybe I'll work on my tan LOL....

    Hugs and enjoy your day!!!

Good morning, my beautiful friends

After a good rain last night, the sun is shining again, and it smells just wonderful outside... thank you to all who have or are currently serving our country and making moments like these possible. You'll be on my mind today as I enjoy an already amazing day.

Thank you to all those who served, and to those who have paid the utmost price for our freedom. God bless our troops, and may they come home safe!

Today we are honoring the memory of those who fell in all the battles we have faced as a nation, and are currently facing. Nothing I can think of to say right now can truly express my feelings, my greatfulness for the services that have been rendered to our nation to help keep it free from the Revolutionary War on. God willing, may we remain free.

It was just brought to my attention that there was some confusion as to what Memorial Day was.....so I wanted to help clear it up for those that are not informed.
As a woman raised in a military family, I never view this day as anything less than that of honoring my family and the rest of the men and women who have served or are serving.

The following is an excerpt taking from Wikipedia:
"Memorial Day is a United States Federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May (in 2008 on May 26). Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. men and women who perished while in military service to their country. First enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War, it was expanded after World War I to include American casualties of any war or military action."

It's always good to learn something new huh???
