What gets you fired up when working out?

Is it people around you?

A mantra you repeat to yourself?

A pair of skinny jeans?

For me it is a great playlist {Music makes ALL the difference in my world}

    Definately some bumpin music.. i like to watch a dance movie like "step up 3" right before i go to my Body Jam workout classes.. it really gets me motivated to Jam out at class :glasses: whats urs?

    Motley Crue...I don't know what it is about their music but I burn more when I listen to them. They are my official workout band.

    I don't go to the gym!

    When I go to dance class it's doing better than the girl at the other end of the hall. She's about my age and also lost quite a bit of weigh, she goes to more dances than I do but I always try to do better and harder than she does! LOL

    When I do a DVD I usually just try to get the stress out of my body. If I've had a bad day at work that pushes me harder.

    When I walk or run it's DEFINITELY music that gets me going. Flo Rida is awesome, as is Missy Elliot, but I have a playlist on my iPod of brilliant tunes for exercise so that I never hit a slow song! :laugh:
  • Knowing that after I'm finished the rest of the day will be better! I'm a first thing in the morning exerciser, and it does make all the difference in the world!

    Music helps keep my concentration but my thoughts, stress and thinking of how the end result is!

    Agreed! "Kickstart My Heart" and "Wild Side" are always on my workout playlists!

    Music and anger. Which go hand in hand...I love my metal. A little thrash, metalcore, hairmetal...it doesn't matter...as long as it gets me pumped.

    I agree , these songs kick serious butt.


    I dont why I do this but when running on the treamill at the gym , even if I been on there for 5km already and somebody jumps on the one next to me, I will match their speed. It drives me nuts I dont know why I do it. It just about kills me.
