Hi folks,

I've been on here for a little while now and found this a huge resource and the iPhone app a revelation.

Finally decided that it was time to lose the weight and get fit. I spend a lot of years into powerlifting and generated an appetite to sustain the effort I put out, but effectively stopped lifting 5 years ago at 36 yrs old due to constant injury and knackered knees, shoulder and generally getting old and body not recovering as quick as it once did.

During my training days my fighting weight was around 115-120kgs, but since I stopped I just kept shovelling food in without the exercise and tipped at 146.5kgs last october. :noway:

Started off and lost the 6.5kgs but could not dip below 140 which was frustrating. Then the bad luck hit, I damaged my achilles that has had me immobilised since late November and it looks like it may be at least another 4-6 weeks before I can exercise. It's frustrating how I cannot do any aerobic exercise when you lose the use of a foot. I'm not even allowed to swim.

So here I am after a good xmas and new year with the family and only regained 2kgs, which is I suppose okay but disappointing but raring to go again. My Target is 127kgs by the summer to dip below that elusive 20 stone mark.

Anyway enough rabbling on from me. I hope you all have a cracking 2011 and achieve what you are after :smile:
