I turned 56 in December.
I want to live out the rest of my life healthy, happy, and ready to take on those challenges that I never tackled, that I never had time for, or that I had only dreamed of. All those things that I put off until......tomorrow. The "tomorrow" of my life is here and now.
I could go it alone and tackle this challenge myself but the glory of accomplishment is always so much sweeter when it is shared with friends - someone to share that glass of champagne with, someone to say "well done."
Which brings me to the subject of this topic. I thought about gathering a group of friends around here locally to rally to the challenge of losing weight, getting up off our butts EVERYDAY and doing something active such as running, walking, working out, etc. A group of friends who want to pursue a healthier lifestyle by eating the right foods, by finding and making "ME" time, to live more joyously, to laugh more often and to be willing to stop along the way to hold a hand out to a friend and say "don't give up."
I decided to expand my world - to seek friends that I didn't know I had and to challenge any of you who might share these same dreams to come along with me. Ready to make a change, accept the challenge? Are you in?
