Now that I'm not snacking...

I start out the day with a veggie filled breakfast of about 300-400 calories... Then by the time I remember to eat again its about 8pm... And dinner Is about 500 calories.. I only have water in the house and so I can't dunk any extra calories... And now that I'm done with snacking all the time I forget to eat during the day because I'm not hungry. Is out bad to try and make dinner add up to 1000+ cals on these days to ensure I'm getting enough calories? I'm breastfeeding so I need at the very least 700 a day. Or on these days should I stay up later and divide diner into two parts so as to split up the calories more?

I think you're better off having a couple of good snacks.

You really ought to try to have smaller meals and eat more frequently.

By going almost all day without eating (even if you don't feel hungry) you could be slowing your metabolism down quite a bit.

You also shouldn't be eating a majority of your calories for your evening meal since the likelihood of your body using those calories before you go to bed is slim to none.

Try preparing mid day meals and snacks while you are making your breakfast. Maybe get some low carb wraps and make some wraps with some form of lean protein and veggies or even just a regular sandwich. Keep fresh fruit and veggies at hand for mid day snacks that you don' t have to do any prep for.

not snacking is fine but you gotta get another meal in your day, especially if you are breastfeeding, you are gonna get worn down and tired real fast. Maybe have a bigger breakfast, 400-500 cals, 2egg omlet with veg and ham and cheese, maybe some whole wheat toast w/ Peanut Butter, juice, whatever the case may be. Eat a decent lunch. if you are not that hungry, try a simple sandwich, or a good protein bar. Then dinner. High cal snacks that are good, protein bars, nuts, low fat cheese. I wouldn't recommend trying to stuff a 1000 cal meal in, it will make you sick. Gotta try and spread it out. I know it is hard to manage time with a baby but set an alarm for lunch so you don't forget. Taking care of you is best for you and your little one.
