Sugar

Hey people,
So, here is something I've noticed - although it's relatively easy not to blow my recommended daily carb intake, the amount of sugars I'm eating is crazy
I would like to cut back on sugars, but I'm not sure how. Fruit seems to contain a lot of them, and I'm vegetarian and I try to avoid dairy and eggs, so for breakfast I'll have cereal (with soymilk) or toast (with natural nut butter), things which also seem to have a lot of sugars. In fact, by the time breakfast is over, I've consumed most of my recommended daily levels of sugar. It's pissing me off.
Any ideas for how to cut back? Is this even something to worry about, assuming my calorie levels are ok?
Thanks, community!

natural sugars are healthier than refined, processed sugars, so ask yourself: where are my sugars coming from?
if they are from fruits, i wouldnt worry about it at all0 -
Because you're a veg it gets a bit more difficult to deal with sugars than most people have to deal with. We tend to consume more fruit than most. I don't even track sugars because I know I would go over every single day. I'd rather track my sodium and fiber. Also, the glycemic index may help you out. Some fruits have a higher sugar content...such as bananas. I love them but I don't eat them often because I know they are so high in sugars. I try to stick to berries if at all possible.
I'm a lifelong vegetarian and was a vegan for five years. Feel free to PM me or add me as a friend.0
