TURNIP FRIES
I am always looking for new side dishes. I do not eat carbs from anything other than veggies, so I have recently discovered a version of French Fries.
Purchase Turnips - I find mine at Walmart in the cooler section of veggies near the fresh herbs. They are in a bag. They are purple and white.
Slice them up to resemble fries--no need to peel--these are "home fries."
line a cookie sheet with foil, spray it well with PAM. Lay the fries on it and spray tops with PAM. Sprinkle with Lawrys and garlic and bake at 375 for about 30 mins. You will want to flip half way. Then crisp them up under the broiler for a few mins but keep your eye on them--I burnt mine last night this way, but we still ate them, as they are only crispy on the outside. ENJOY!
