Hello this is my first week on my fitnesspal and decided to try and introduce myself. I am 54 years and have been trying to lose weight seriously since June. i lost 22 pounds in 4 months with the help of an awesome trainer and a group of ladies at my Y. I really saw the difference that exercising has done along with counting calories. Now I am trying to do it on my own. My trainer told me about this site andI love it. Why didn't I know about this earlier! Now I am trying to do it on my own and iITS HARD! I still have more weight to lose along with a cholesterol ( which I didn't know I had) problem. As an incentive and to keep me on track i am doing a half marathon in February. I did it last year but had to quit early because of leg cramps. I am determine to finish the half marathon this year.
People tell me that i look great now but I just don't see it because I have so much more to go. I feel it in my clothes but my head doesn't compute. Do I need help?

Welcome to MFP. It's a great place to be. I joined on 7/4/2010 and have lost 61 pounds so far. I love this site and I know you will too. Feel free to add me as a friend, we can help motivate each other. Good luck on your weight loss journey.0
