:flowerforyou: Hello,
My name is Dawn and I have struggled with my weight since my divorce 6 years ago. I was always use to esting what I wanted but I think the stress of the divorce changed my metabolism. I have continued to gain 10-20 pounds per year. I am a repeat dieter and have never stuck with anything for over 3 weeks. About 7 weeks ago I decided to start working out 3 times a week hardcore for 60 minutes a day and do enjoy it most of the time. I thought I would lose something but nope, not a thing. I have slowly and sadly come to the conclusion that I have to change my eating habits and work out. I have tried to do this weight loss thing many times before and I just booked a vacation to jamaica in April and feel this is it because I already have begun the workout part. I love food and am really going to struggle so I am hoping this site and support from fellow dieters will help.

welcome to the site. losing weight is 80% diet and 20% exercise, as ive come to find out. I am a marathoner and thought i would lose weight simply due to the number of calories i was burning but this was not the case, i actually gained weight. Once i started using mfp and realized just how much i was eating the pounds came off. Best of luck reaching your goals and feel free to add me as a friend!0

Welcome!! The support here is awesome!! The nice thing about counting your calories is that you can eat whatever you want as long as you have the calories for it!! I love food as well and this site has really helped me! I wish I would have found it when I first started my weight loss journey!!0
