My son had his 18 month check up today and everything went great!

He is 33 1/4 " tall - 75%
25 lbs and 6 ounces - 45%
Head is 19 3/8" - 85%

He has always been a little on the tall side and slightly on the thin side.

She said he looks great and he passed the questions regarding autism with flying colors.

The one question I had about his face breaking out with a rash after tomato products get on it was relieved with "It's most likely just the acid affecting his sensitive skin and not a true food allergy". YAYY!

She said the women of the future better look out!!!

That's all! Good stuff! Except he had to get 2 shots! :( My poor sweetpea!!

WTG big guy. My youngest daughter (6) is in the 90% range and in class photos she really standsout.
My oldest had the same problem w/tomatoes at that same age. They grow out of it.

As far as the shots. Cherish this day because he should be clingy and drousy. Clear your schedule, pop in the Wiggles, and cuddle him on the couch. Oh I miss that age.

    Good for you guys.

This is a great time in your little ones life. You will start to become less scared all the time ( i was freaking out for the first year at least) and he will start to be much more fun every day.

My son just finished the second grade, it was a close one. his reading is way above average but his math was really difficult for him but he made it through and will be on his way to the 3rd grade (wow im getting old)

    again yeah for you.

Aww poor little guy! I remember those days, Shots are never fun..But I think it's worse for us moms having to hold them down and watch them get shots then it is for them!

His weight and height sound perfect!! My kids have always been peanuts. My daughter was stuck at 27 lbs for the longest time..and finally..at age 6 made it over 30 lbs. And she eats like a PIG!!! Wish I could be like that again!! Both my kids have been like negative five on the charts hahaha!!

Yeah you would certainly know if it was a true allergy..believe me! My son has food allergies..anaphylactic..which means he breaks out in hives, trouble breathing..throat closes up. We carry an epi pen with us but Benadryl usually does the trick..So I bet your little one is just sensitive to certain things. I know for some reason when my little girl was that age... orange kool-aid would give her a rash on her cheeks..weird huh!

Shots! poor little sweetie. My boys were usually 98th percentile in height (tall dad) and 45 in weight, (skinny long things.) Isn't motherhood wonderful! And I'm not being facetious.

Yeah, I thought my son was going to be even taller...since my husband is pushing 6'4"! But, while he is definitely above average with height, he is not shooting up like I thought he would! LOL

I'm not concerned about his numbers. Like I said, he always seems to be over on height and slightly below on weight. I think it's just he is a little on the tall side that makes his height a lower %. And he just moves around ALL the time!! (which most of them do at this age!). But, he's a good eater and eats anything I give him...except for tuna fish. Not sure what it is, but he isn't a big fish person as of yet! I eat healthy and try to be a good example..so hopefully healthy foods will just be a natural part of his life.

Aww so glad his 18 month check up went well. My son has his 7 yr annual physical tomorrow. Cant believe he's 7 :noway: Anyway the tomato thing , my son had that except with oranges. If eatting a fresh orange and he gets the juice on his face it breaks out in that area, kinda rashy , but it's the acid as well not an allergy.

Love to hear the "All's well." Love that age - they are so funny:laugh: . My youngest will be two in June and I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by. Ugh - shots:sad: Hope the soreness doesn't last long.
