When you enter in your glasses of water, how much (in mls) do they consider one glass.. 200ml?
and also, why do they add back the calories that you exercise off, seems pointless to me?

oooh and one more thing, can I change calories to kilojoules on here? Everything is in in calories and I find it annoying having to convert everything from kj to calories as where I live, most food packets are stated in kj

thanks :D

  • I'm not sure about the water. But if you look at the blue bar near the top of your screen, you'll see a link "Settings." Click on it. You'll see a list of things that control your profile. In that list is the ability to switch to metric.

Look at the "sticky notes" with red push pin icons at the top of this forum section. There are a bunch of useful permanent posts there for new folks. At least one deals with why should eat your exercise calories, certainly better than I could explain it!

As for kilojoules, I haven't a clue. Sorry!
  • I'm new here too, but I can help you with your question about the calories being subtracted from your total when you exercise.

The goal is based off of your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) which is what your body needs just for you to live. This is stuff like breathing, digesting, blood flow, cell repair and cell growth. This is why it is important to consume quality calories. If you drop too low, your body will pull energy from other sources and short your organs the energy you need. This is damaging to your internal systems.

When you exercise and burn calories doing so, this is taking from the calories you took in to power your body's everyday functions. You have to replace them so that you are maintaining what you need just to live. Yes, you have to eat a ton to hit those goals, but just be glad you're not a man. It takes more calories for us to function and quality foods are so low in calories, I have to eat so much in a day.

    I hope that helps you.
