I'm convinced my body absolutely rejects any attempts at "real" weight loss. I had 3 really good days, then a weekend (Aggh! plus TOM) and now I'm up 5 pounds in a week. I think my body has its set weight and if I try to go below it it revolts. But I don't WANT to weigh 155. HELP!

Your body will fluctuate up and down. But in general over a couple months you should see some weightloss. You have to keep your calories under 1200 and get up and move daily. You will lose it. Plus drink lots of water. If you follow those simple rules you will eventually start to lose. I am having problems sticking to the rules myself, but I know I can do it and I know you can too!!

Don't lose hope! Try not to concentrate on the number too much either. If you're working out you might be gaining some muscle! And don't completely cut all the good stuff out of your diet right away, then weekend binges will happen! The weight will come off, just be patient

Under `1200 Calories a day? Sigh*** Maybe that is why you are having a hard time "sticking to the rules" You are not eating enough!

Okay. Just call it a bad moment. Today is a new day and you can only do this one day at a time. Are you drinking water? What happens to our bodies is when we have weighted a certain weight for a while it is called a set point. I hear that this means your body thinks it is suppose to weight what it weights. So ....give it a shock. Drink your water everyday. I read that if you drink the amount of water of 1/2 of your body weight is so helps. And, yeap it did it for me. I was stuck at 178 forever and I tried so many things. Started drinking more water and it began to come down. Now, 159 and I am so moving again. So, goodbye set point! Good luck, you can do this!

I drink 8 glasses of water at work alone, then another 3-5 at home. I cannot stay on track for more than a couple days. But when I go "off the wagon" I don't necessarily think it's that bad--not like a whole pizza or something. Sunday we went to Cold Stone Creamery, I guess that was pretty bad :embarassed:

I feel like if I left my body alone it would weigh pretty much the same as I do now and I'd be a whole lot less stressed.

Ha! for me I am only 5ft. 1200 really is a good number, you do have to take into account your height. But for me personally I do lose when I stick to this! It is just sticking to it, I have a problem with!
