Has anyone here had a medgem test done? Its basically helps determine your Resting Metabolic Rate. I had it done as part of a diet i went on, and my RMR rate was 2850 (350 more than the average)!

Here is a link for more information :

Im restricting myself to 1600 calories (if im really hungry i allow myself 200 more calories, raising it to 1800). Since i know this is not foolproof i do leave myself a healthy margin of error (adding 20/30 calories to my estimates for main meals, 10-15 for snacks)

Hopefully when i start exercising tomorrow, hopefully ill be able to burn more fat... im devising a workout plan soon...

You are real close to starvation mode...especially when you start exercising. Make sure you eall all of your exercise calories or you'll get frustrated and discouraged real fast.

Yes, I had a test done last year. I would consult with a dietician or the exercise physiologist before you devise your nutritional plan. Subtracting too many calories will definitly sabatoge any diet you create, as your RMR will gradually decrease because your body isn't getting enough fuel. Good luck!
