Heart Rate Monitor - Interference??

I have 2 machines in my home. 1 TRUE elliptical with a built in Polar HRM and 1 SOLE treadmill.
I also have a Polar F6 HRM (with watch and chest strap)

When I wear my Polar chest strap on the elliptical, the readout on the monitor is exactly the same as the readout on my watch - perfect!

When I wear my Polar chest strap on my treadmill, the pulse rate on my watch and on the machine are VERY different from one another (likely because they are not the same brand) however, I truly don't believe either number was accurate. From what I know of my body, I was working out at the approx pulse rate of 135 yet the treadmill read was 180 and my watch read 105. Do you think its possible that the sensors were interfering with one another throwing BOTH numbers off?

Any suggestions/ideas?
