The short story of me...

I, technically, have been a member of MFP for a while, but I was not all that motivated to use it. I gained a lot of weight as a teenager due to medication and I have never felt the need to actively pursue weight loss… mostly because I LOVE food, but also because I have always been reasonably comfortable with my self image.
Well, I am the Maid of Honor in my best friends wedding. The dress I will be wearing is one that I could wear again, on multiple occasions. It is strapless, fitted and shorter than I would normally wear, but is very flattering. The bride did well. Here's the thing, the other girls in the wedding are A LOT smaller than me, as is the bride, which would normally not bother me a bit. However, I know that when I look at professionally photographed pictures and one person is considerably larger than the others, while everyone looks good, that person just looks a little out of place. I don’t want to look out of place. The wedding is not until the summer, but I had to buy the dress last week. For alteration purposes I will only be able to loose two dress sizes.
Presently, I am 5'4" tall, 180ish lbs and a snuggly fit 14. In the last 2 weeks I have lost 5 lbs, I nearly cried I was so excited. When I first started MFP, I found it impossible to stay under 1200 calories, lunch at Panara maxed me out and I thought "this is never going to work". Now I can’t seem to find enough food to eat, I never thought I would say that.
