Are you holding on to clothes that haven't fit in months? Well, you might want to hold on to them just a little bit longer. After all, you might be to find some motivation in an old pair of jeans:
"I need to brag just a little...hope you all don't mind. Five years ago I splurged on a pair of DKNY jeans. I loved them. Then the weight started coming on and I couldn't wear them any more. This morning, after 5 years of sitting in the drawer (couldn't bear to get rid of them), I put them on, buttoned them, zipped them, and I am wearing them again!! They are a size 8!! That has set the mood for my day. I am freaking ecstatic! So, for my affirmation: I believe that I can accomplish great things and have the life and body that I want. I am doing this for me and me alone because I am worth it." — Magic Shannon
Okay, now it's your turn. Do you have a favorite pair of jeans lurking in your closet that have been a little too snug to wear in public? Make it your short-term goal to get back into those jeans! Like Shannon said, these small victories will make you feel accomplished and encourage you to work even harder to meet your weight-loss goals!

RENEE!!!!!!! *hug tackles*
(I'll now go back and read your topic) :bigsmile:0 -
Hey we've missed you! And where the heck is Banks?!
I do have some skinny jeans...I hope to be in them by the end of the summer! OK let's say by August 1st I want to be wearing those babies!0 -
Wow that's awesome!0

You know that the story is by somebody else. I just enjoyed and shared. I am far from skinny jeans:happy:0

Hey Renee! Good to see you!
I'm a Levi's snob...my goal jeans are lowcut flare 9 slims...my daughter-in-law wore them while she was here and she looked really good in them.
I'm making progress towards them...I'm in my 9 regulars now and I can put them in the dryer vs. hang dry and still get into them very comfortably...I'm an inch or two from the slims fitting.
I know 9 sounds large to most but when I'm in a 7 I look bony and my Dad starts freakin' out over my health.0 -
do they have to button? and do you have to be able to breathe? if the answer to both of those is no, then i can be in them now!
i guess if the answer's no, i'll just keep working and get back to you guys on that one!0 -
I'm alive d. I'm just swamped with work, buying a new house, baseball... trying to keep the wife from freaking out about the new house, getting inspections for the new house, having mortgage appointments for the new house, yelling at my real estate agent about our new house...etc you get the idea. I'm exhausted, every day is something new. lol!
I'll be back with a little more vitriol once this settles down, right now I'm basically just lurking and responding to the random question here and there.0 -
inspiring... i have jeans i held on to for like 4 years.. i hope one day they fit me and then one day they are toooo big! im hoping to get down to a size 9 then i will be fully satisfied! gotta keep some meat on me...0
