Is anyone using any type of supplements to help with their weight loss (Alli, Sensa, Hydroxycut) ?? I am excited about finally being held accountable for my food choices but I am still looking for a bit of jump start. Thoughts?

A freind of mine used hydroxy cut and loss a lot of weight, but when he stopped using it he gained it all back. I'm not sure on the science of it, but just from that I wouldn't recommend hydroxycut.
What I would recommend is green tea in the morning, a vitamin with a meal, and fish oil!0 -
Alli causes some embarrassing "leakage", Hydroxycut is not good for the heart.
Any low carb diet will jumpstart you and get rid of cravings. South Beach worked for me. 10 lbs in a week
Green tea helps (you have to drink 3-4 cups of it) too.
Vitamin B complex for energy and mood, omegas help as well, vitamin D.
Good luck!:flowerforyou:0 -
Here's a list of stuff I take in addition to my diet:
Centrum (sp?) Multi Vitamin
Baby Aspirin
Fish Oil
Vitamin C
BSN NO Xplode0 -
Every morning, I take the following:
Men's One-A-Day vitamin
Calcium
Vitamin D
Super B Complex
B12 (because its not in the Super B Complex)
Fish Oil with Omega 3 and 6
I know I'm over doing it, but with my work and such, I have a hard time hitting certain vitamin goals. The B vitamins get flushed out if not needed, so I'll live with the neon urine. We take Vitamin D because I'm slowly learning dairy is a lie. My wife is a nurse and they diagnose so many patients with bone loss though they had milk and dairy all their lives. So many people drink milk, yet so many have Vitamin D deficiencies. I'm aware that calcium does one thing and Vitamin D another, but they're supposed to both be in milk, and it doesn't seem to be working on either front.0 -
In my opionion, if there were a weight loss supplement out there that really worked we would not have an obesity epidemic. We would all know about it and be taking it. I've read and read and researched and have come to the conclusion that it is all HYPE. Although some of these fat burners and other supplements have some effect it is so minimal that it doesn't even add up to an extra couple pounds a year burned.0
