Me again! LOL. I feel like I am always posting topics and asking questions here. But.....someone had told me that when you lose weight your daily calorie total decreases but mfp doesnt calculate it for you. My question is when I lose a significant amount of weight how do I know what to use for a daily calorie goal????

My MFP changed last week when I lost 3 pounds- it changed me from 1390 to 1350 calories a day. Have you kept track to see that it 'hasn't" changed?

I've been told that MFP calculate this automatically after you lose 10lbs. Seeing as I've been stuck on 9lbs for weeks now I have no idea if it will work or not

But yes, as you lose weight you need less calories

    good luck :flowerforyou:

I have kept track. I have only lost 5lbs so far :sigh: I will keep looking. Not sure why someone said it doesnt automatically set itself

Hmmm, I wonder if it might change after certain amounts of weight lost- I just passed the 15 pound mark, and that's when I noticed that my allotted calories had gone lower...

It asks if you want to recalculate every 10 pounds, it just asked me yesterday.

MFP will ask to reset your calories about every ten pounds or so but if you are already only eating 1200 calories they will never take you below that number no matter how much you lose.
  • OH GOOD! IM GLAD IT DOES IT FOR U! I GOT REALLY NERVOUS FOR A SECOND! lol

I am at a healthy BMI and when i started on here I wasn't(durr) but it started me at 1500 calories and it would currently has me at 1200 it doesn't go any lower than that but I still have 20 pounds to go, once you hit maintenance it does change again.
