My husband is looking for a good book on weightlifting. He is in his late 40s. He is fit and started lifting again recently. He hasn't done lifting for a long time and wants to stay safe while seeing good results. Any suggestions?

I love my program. It's the Men's Health Hard Body Program. You can get the book used from amazon.com for next to nothing. It's a good comprehensive guide that covers diet, exercise, and body chemistry and covers everything from beginner to advanced workouts, breaks the workouts down by muscle groups and detailed guides of how to do the exercises correctly. It also gives alternatives to give you workouts whether you are using free weights, machines, or no weights at all.

Whether he uses this program or something else, my best advice would be to find one program and stick to it to the letter.

    Good Luck to him!
