Hi everyone,

I think I joined mfp like a month ago, but did not introduce my self because I was afraid that I might quit like previous attempts, when I was "determined" like hell. Normally I can be satisfied easily, can I take the stairs without getting breathless, do I look ok, do I feel ok? That was then the moment to stop dieting and fall back in the same routine.

So this time I decided to keep it quiet, not brag about my effort or think easy about it and see where I would end. And especially not being satisfied by looking ok, or feeling ok, when I can look good and feel good!

I started 13 november with avoiding certain things, that was not really a diet, but more a transition state I think. And a month later was just looking for an app and found this site and love it. And I followed from the sideline, sometimes I replied, but I was still afraid that I might get satisfied when I saw that I've lost certain pounds and that's why I did not want to write down my achievements, because this time the only achievement is reaching the state where I can say, i feel damn good!

But today I noticed something, and I felt that I still had to share it with you. As a student, I have to travel a lot with the train and when I had to sit next to someone we managed to fit, but I could certainly feel the other persons leg / but. And today I was sitting alone and had my bag on my left on the couch, when a guy with normal posture wanted to sit next to me. But if I say normal, i mean normal Dutch posture and Dutch men are between if not the tallest men in the world I think. So I said, let me remove my bag, but he allready seated and we - my bag, me and the guy - fitted perfectly. I was like, huh? This is strange. Yes I could still feel his leg, but I had also my bag next to me. Then I removed my bag and slided more to the left and then I felt nothing. I looked at my right, and there was a huge gap between him and me! And I was thinking, is it because I don't have my coat on? Does he has a small posture? But no, he was an ordinary Dutch guy and I was still amazed. Yes I saw that my chin was gone, and my legs were somehow thinner, but only today I really noticed that I have lost inches in my size! Wow, it was really an "aha-erlebnis" Hope to have more of these!

You REALLY should have measured when you started! I made the mistake of not doing it until two weeks into this. I might have lost about two inches that I couldn't count. Congrats, and keep up the good work!!!!

my favorite is, well, I have two. In my car, there is like tons of space between the steering wheel and me now so much I can actually nap in the car without feeling all contorted and stiff. And my husband and I both fit on the couch now, no squishing or falling or arguing over space! yay for regaining lost inches!

My car broke down, so I cannot compare now :)

I measured on december 30. And I planned to measure every 2weeks, so in 2 days I have to measure again. And ohh, my best measurement is my wintercoat. I noticed it was actually to small and that I needed a new one. But then I bought a big scarf to hide my belly and now, the coat is getting even too wide, because it is now loose around my belly.
