I was curious as to if anyone else has decided that you're not always going to use MFP.That This has been a way of tracking your eating and a a helpful transition into a healthy lifestyle. I know for certain that I do know want to log my food every single day of my life, at some point I hope for it just to be second nature to know whats good and whats bad. Anyone else feel that this is not forever?

I think I'll probably use it for a year or so after to help me maintain and once I get the hang of it to where I can think in my head what I'm going to have for the day and it be within my maintainance numbers, I'll be fine without it. Of course there's always the emergency usage of it if you need to look up calories from a restaurant or something new you're adding to your rotation of foods. I wouldn't mind counting for the rest of my life if it means keeping me at a healthy weight! I actually don't mind it as much as others seem to.
  • The only thing I log is my total calories and my exercise. If you log everything it may become to much and may decide it's not worth it. Whatever works for you is the right thing to do.

Last time after i hit my goal weight, i stopped tracking - and slipped and gained half of it back. Luckily i realized this in time and started fresh. Ill have track calories for some time after i hit goal weigh for sure. I knew whats good for me, but i ate bad stuff often and didnt realize how much it added to my average per day.

I don't mind logging, in fact I'm quite addicted and its easy with the phone app. But I don't think I'll do it after I am at my goal weight. I will probably still log exercise, measurements and weight weekly and keep on track that way.

I love that we're imagining our lives at our goal weight :-)
